St. Petersburg, it's time for your kids to express themselves.

Applications are now open for Girls Rock Camp St. Pete (GRC St. Pete), which runs from July 18-22 at Allendale United Methodist Church. The camp takes place Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and will find girls and non-binary youth aged 8-17 forming bands and writing songs while also participating in other workshops.
The camp—which caps out at 42 participants—culminates in a showcase on Saturday, July 23 at Jannus Live in downtown St. Pete. Cost for the camp is $300, and financial aid is available.

No musical experience or ownership of an instrument is required, and due to the limited number of camper spots, GRC St. Pete cannot accept all those who apply. "While applications are reviewed by a blind selection committee, we reserve the right, and have the responsibility, to ensure camp reflects the diversity of our beloved community," GRC wrote in its FAQ.

The camp is also looking for volunteers.
