Day-drinkers and mimosa-lovers on both sides of the bridge are in a constant search of the best brunch in Tampa Bay, and one annual Creative Loafing event helps them find exactly that.

The 2024 rendition of Creative Loafing's Brunched event—where we team up with local bars and restaurants to dish out breakfast samples and daytime cocktails—returns to the Tampa River Center ( 402 W Laurel St.) on Saturday, March 9 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

Just a handful of local bars and restaurants participating in this year's Brunched include: Small Giant, The Brinehouse, Daily Eats, Raw Smoothie Co., Oystercatchers, Haiku, Baby Brisket and Elevage, with more concepts being announced soon.

In addition to a wide variety of Brunch bites and both boozy and N/A sips—as well as access to live music—guests can also participate in the annual “Best Bloody Battle” by voting for their favorite rendition of the classic daytime cocktail.

All attendees will have access to unlimited food and drink samples, but some ticket holders get additional perks. If you want an extra hour of food and drink sampling and even more appetizers, you can always splurge for the VIP tickets. New to Brunched this year is also a $25 bottomless mimosa wristband, an optional add-on that will definitely ensure a midday buzz. All ticketing options range from $40-$75 and can be browsed on brunchedtampabay.com. This event has definitely sold-out in the past, so we recommend snagging those early bird passes ASAP.

A portion of proceeds from 2024’s Brunched will benefit The Laundry Project, one of local nonprofit Current Initiatives’ many charitable programs. It helps provide clean clothes and linens to lower-income families by paying washing fees, assisting with laundry services, and “creating a caring space at the laundromat.”
